HOUSTON (AP) -The Houston Texans are following the same old script to another disappointing season.
Houston is 5-7 for the fourth straight year after Thursday’s 34-24 loss to Philadelphia. The Texans have dropped five of their last six and recent losses have stuck to a familiar pattern: fall behind early, rally in the second half, falter at the end.
On Thursday, for the fourth time in five games, the Texans were tied or held a lead in the fourth quarter, only to give up a late score and lose.
Coach Gary Kubiak is frustrated by the bad finishes. When asked Friday what the Texans can do about it this late in the season, he said “find a way to continue to get better somehow, some way, with the people we’ve got.”
