FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) – Hines Ward is dressed appropriately for the big event in Big D.
Pittsburgh’s star wide receiver, decked out in full cowboy gear, and the rest of the Steelers have arrived in Dallas on Monday, ready for a week of practices, meetings with the media and soaking in another Super Bowl appearance.
Ward stepped off the team’s charter flight at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport wearing a big black cowboy hat, a black sequined shirt, jeans, boots and a Texas-sized silver belt buckle. He says he wanted to “put on my whole Cowboy outfit” and “feel a part of it” since the team is in Dallas.
He says he and the Steelers, making their third Super Bowl trip in six years, have a “comfort level” with being on the NFL’s biggest stage.
