FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) – A Sprint official is testifying about phone records the company turned over in the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez.
The worker testified Friday that Sprint gave authorities records for phones used by Hernandez co-defendant Ernest Wallace and Hernandez’s cousin Tanya Singleton.
Hernandez, Wallace and a third man, Carlos Ortiz, are charged with killing Odin Lloyd in 2013. All three have pleaded not guilty. Wallace and Ortiz will be tried separately.
Lloyd’s sister, Shaquilla (shah-KEE’-lah) Thibou, could also be called to testify Friday.
Lloyd’s last four text messages were sent to his sister. One told her he was with ”NFL.”
Prosecutors won’t be allowed to ask her what he said. They want to use the messages to show where Lloyd was in his final minutes.
