ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -Albert Haynesworth says his knee problem is “not serious” – even though it kept him out of practice for the second day in a row.
The centerpiece of the Redskins’ offseason acquisitions had an injection to insert fluid into his left knee, making him an on-field spectator for most of practice Sunday and Monday.
Haynesworth was the centerpiece of the Redskins’ offseason acquisitions. The defensive tackle signed a contract that includes an NFL-record $41 million in guaranteed money.
Washington coach Jim Zorn said he is expecting Haynesworth to play every game this season.
