INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Patriots owner Robert Kraft disagrees with Randy Moss’ assessment that New England won’t pay to keep top talent.
Kraft told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Moss had made more than $20 million over the past two seasons and insisted that was an indication that New England would do whatever it takes, in terms of contracts, to win.
Moss recently told reporters at a charity softball event in Florida that he didn’t think he would return to the Patriots after the 2010 season because it would cost the Patriots too much to keep him.
Kraft said he thought the comments may have been taken out of context.
Kraft did not say whether the Patriots would try to extend quarterback Tom Brady’s deal before it expires after next season.
