JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee was active for the first time in more than two months Sunday, replacing John Carney against the San Diego Chargers.
Carney was inactive.
Scobee injured his right (kicking) quadriceps in warmups before the season opener and missed the next eight games. He had two setbacks during his rehabilitation, prompting the Jaguars to be cautious with his return.
Defensive end Bobby McCray was inactive for the first time this season for Jacksonville. McCray opened the year as a starter, but has just seven tackles and no sacks in nine games. He had 10 sacks last season and signed a one-year tender worth $1.85 million.
The Chargers, as expected, were without defensive end Luis Castillo (ankle) and center Nick Hardwick (foot).
