FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is limited at practice with an injured right calf that likely won’t prevent him from playing in New York’s next game Sunday against Houston.
Sanchez had swelling in his right calf after being injured in the third quarter last Sunday, but coach Rex Ryan says he “did almost everything” at practice Wednesday.
Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery has not practiced after suffering a slight groin tear in the Jets’ 26-20 overtime victory Sunday. Ryan says it’s still too early to rule him out.
Ryan says defensive back Dwight Lowery has a concussion and is going through the evaluation process.
Left guard Matt Slauson, who had swelling in his right knee, and safety Eric Smith (ankle), also have not practiced Wednesay.
