TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -Colts cornerback Kelvin Hayden left Tuesday morning’s practice early with a hamstring injury.
Hayden signed a $43 million contract during the offseason. He sat out some of last week’s practices after feeling a twinge in his leg. Coach Jim Caldwell said he did not know the severity of the injury or how long Hayden would be out.
Indianapolis also made a roster move, re-signing Josh Thomas. The defensive end has spent all five of his NFL seasons with the Colts but was not signed in free agency.
To make room on the roster, the Colts released running back Walter Mendenhall.
