EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -New York Giants middle linebacker Antonio Pierce returned to practice Friday after missing two days because of a mild concussion.
“He did everything today, he took every snap, so I will check with him when I go in, but I think he certainly is on his way,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said, adding that he expects Pierce to play Sunday in Detroit.
The Giants (6-3) and the Lions (6-3) will play to determine the third-best record in the NFC behind Dallas and Green Bay, both 8-1.
Pierce was listed as questionable for the game along with receiver Plaxico Burress, who has been bothered by a sprained right ankle all season but not missed any games.
