EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Vikings are on track to bring back their entire starting lineup for this season, a rarity in the NFL these days.
With Brett Favre’s decision to have ankle surgery, a court ruling that keeps a pending suspension for Kevin Williams and Pat Williams on hold, and injury recoveries progressing for Cedric Griffin and E.J. Henderson, the NFC runner-up Vikings should have the whole band back together from last year’s big run.
At minicamp this weekend, though, they’re missing some key pieces.
Favre has not confirmed he’s coming back. Griffin is not yet cleared for practice after knee surgery. Adrian Peterson was absent from Friday’s practice due to a promotional event in his hometown. And Ray Edwards has yet to sign his contract tender.
