PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Eagles wide receiver Reggie Brown was inactive for Sunday’s game against St. Louis with a strained left hamstring, leaving Philadelphia without its top two receivers for the opener.
Brown has been sidelined since straining his left hamstring in the second preseason game against Carolina. He took part in individual drills on Wednesday, but did not practice the rest of the week.
Kevin Curtis is already out indefinitely after having surgery for a sports hernia. Curtis had 77 catches for a team-high 1,110 yards and six touchdowns last season. Brown had 61 receptions for 780 yards and four TDs.
The Eagles started Hank Baskett and rookie DeSean Jackson in their place.
Rookie wide receiver Donnie Avery (knee) was inactive for the Rams.
