PHILADELPHIA (AP) -As the Eagles welcome one of the greatest players in team history to their stadium, they may get another back in their lineup.
The Broncos play the Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, marking the return of seven-time Pro Bowl safety Brian Dawkins, who spent 13 seasons with the Eagles before signing with Denver.
Philadelphia’s dynamic offense may see the return of another Eagles icon: Running back Brian Westbrook.
Eagles coach Andy Reid said at his Monday press conference that it looks “pretty good” that Westbrook will play this week.
Westbrook has had two concussions this season and has missed five games since the second one, against San Diego on Nov. 15.
He returned to practice last week but was inactive for Sunday’s win over San Francisco.
