PHILADELPHIA (AP) -The Philadelphia Eagles could be without running back Brian Westbrook as they enter the grueling part of their schedule.
Westbrook left with a concussion in the first quarter of Monday night’s 27-17 victory over the Washington Redskins. He will go through tests before his status for next week is determined.
Westbrook could miss the meat of Philadelphia’s schedule. They play the NFC East-leading Giants on Sunday. Then it’s a game against Dallas. LeSean McCoy would carry the bulk of rushing load if Westbrook misses significant time.
The Eagles are 4-2 and bounced back nicely after an embarrassing loss to Oakland. The Eagles played only one team with a winning record in their first six games. Now the schedule gets tougher.
