EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The Miami Dolphins have lost wide receiver Rishard Matthews and center Mike Pouncey to injuries against the New York Jets.
Matthews took a hard shot to his back from Calvin Pryor on an incomplete pass to him from Ryan Tannehill in the first quarter. The Dolphins receiver remained face-down on the turf for several minutes as doctors attended to him. Matthews got up slowly and walked to the sideline gingerly. He is questionable to return.
Pouncey is also questionable with a right foot injury suffered in the first quarter. He was carted to the locker room from Miami’s sideline.
Jets cornerback Marcus Williams injured a knee on his interception of Tannehill in the opening quarter and is questionable. He replaced Darrelle Revis (concussion) in the starting lineup.
