NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Tennessee defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth missed his fifth straight practice Thursday with his sore right hamstring, but coach Jeff Fisher said he is improving.
Haynesworth sat out with cornerback Nick Harper (concussion), right tackle David Stewart (ankle) and fullback Ahmard Hall (arm). Hall broke his arm Oct. 21 in Houston and has missed the last three games.
Fisher said both Harper and Stewart are improving.
“That’s also the case with Albert. So we’re optimistic at this point. We could use all of them. We’ll just have to take it day to day,” he said.
The Titans worked Kelly Herndon in Harper’s spot at left cornerback Wednesday, and Reynaldo Hill practiced in that spot Thursday. Fisher said Eric King also has practiced there.
Stewart started 14 games last season and hasn’t missed a start this season. If he can’t play, three-year veteran Daniel Loper would be on the line for his first NFL start.
