IRVING, Texas (AP) – Cowboys starting offensive linemen Marc Colombo and Kyle Kosier missed practice again Thursday, making it even more unlikely that they will play in the season opener.
Coach Wade Phillips says Colombo and Kosier, who sustained knee injuries during training camp, haven’t been ruled out of Sunday night’s game at Washington. But the coach says missing practice Wednesday and Thursday “makes their chances slimmer” that they will play against the Redskins.
The Cowboys have veteran backup at both positions who have been working with the starting offense this week. Alex Barron has been at right tackle for Colombo, and Montrae Holland at left guard for Kosier.
Phillips says Barron and Holland have practiced well and he has confidence in them.
