IRVING, Texas (AP) – The Dallas Cowboys expect to have their two injured starters on the offensive line back for practice Wednesday, which could be a big first step toward recovering from a loss in the season opener.
Coach Wade Phillips said it’s too soon to say whether right tackle Marc Colombo and left guard Kyle Kosier will be able to play Sunday in the home opener against Chicago. Both suffered knee injuries during training camp.
Colombo would replace Alex Barron, whose holding penalty on the final play of the game wiped out what would’ve been a game-winning touchdown catch by Roy Williams. It was Barron’s third holding penalty of the game.
Dallas lost 13-7 to Washington.
While the patchwork line still produced 380 yards, the Cowboys struggled deep in Redskins’ territory.
