ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) – Having opened the season with two dreadful losses, Buffalo Bills safety Donte Whitner is tired of his team being a punchline.
Of course, Whitner adds, the only way to make the laughter stop is for the Bills to start winning. That stinging feeling – as much as a 13-game losing streak against New England – is enough to motivate Whitner as Buffalo prepares to travel to face the Patriots (1-1) on Sunday.
Whitner expressed his displeasure this week by saying he witnessed Green Bay players laughing near the end of their 34-7 win over Buffalo last weekend.
And the fifth-year player says he and his Bills teammates are all too familiar with being laughed at by the Patriots over the course of Buffalo’s drought against its AFC East rival.
