PITTSBURGH (AP) -Police and public works crews are closing roads and erecting barricades along the route for the Super Bowl victory parade in Pittsburgh.
Police Chief Nate Harper says about 250,000 people are expected to attend the parade, which begins at noon Tuesday. Despite an earlier announcement that the parade would follow the St. Patrick’s Day parade route that begins at Mellon Arena, Tuesday’s march will begin at Seventh Avenue and Grant Street downtown, a few blocks below the arena.
Light snow and temperatures in the high 20s are forecast for the parade to celebrate the Steelers’ sixth Super bowl win. Pittsburgh beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 Sunday night.
