Eli to step up w/out Beckham?
With his top receiver suspended, will Eli Manning be able to step up and lead the New York Giants against the Minnesota Vikings tonight?
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Minnesota is favored at home in this game, as the Vikings are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Giants. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 44.5 points. These two meet tonight at 8:30PM ET on NBC.
Manning and the Giants (6-8, 8-5-1 ATS) still have a shot at the NFC East with a win tonight and some help, but winning without Odell Beckham Jr. will certainly be difficult. Manning has thrown for 3,900 yards and 32 touchdowns this season with 11 interceptions. In tonight’s game, Manning has been given an over/under of 293.5 passing yards and 2 TD passes against the Vikings.
Minnesota has the seventh-ranked pass defense, allowing just 229.7 yards per game this season. The Vikings have given up 21 touchdown passes and 9 interceptions this season. They have also allowed multiple TD passed in five of their last six games. Manning has also thrown for multiple TDs in six of his last seven games, but it’s hard to know what to expect without Beckham on the field. Rueben Randle is the second-leading receiver with 638 yards while Dwayne Harris has 390 yards. 294 yards could be a tough task for Manning, but certainly TD passes will be there if his receivers can step up.
