Washington Football Team DFS Spin
Alex Smith completed 19-of-26 passes for 149 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in Washington’s Week 12 win over the Cowboys. Smith wasn’t a difference maker by any means, but he was functional and limited his mistakes to just a handful. Rookie running back Antonio Gibson rushed for three touchdowns, and Washington’s front seven ate up an injured Cowboys offensive line. The result was a blow out 41-16 win in Dallas, which makes the Football Team your current NFC East leader. That’s a low bar but one worth celebrating for Smith, who is two years removed from an awful leg infection. Smith and Terry McLaurin have coach Ron Rivera sitting pretty in year one, though Washington will have their hands full with Pittsburgh in Week 13.

Ben Roethlisberger (knee) is questionable for Week 13 against Washington. Big Ben was listed as DNP Thursday with a non-injury, and a knee issue was added to his status Friday and Saturday. He didn’t practice all week. Ben isn’t someone who has to practice to play, but we genuinely don’t seem to have much info on which way this one will go. Odds would seem to be in Ben’s favor for suiting up Monday night, however, based on previous history.
Washington vs. Steelers Betting Prediction
Washington is just 1-4 against the spread in its last five games against Pittsburgh and has failed to cover in 21 of its last 28 games on Monday. The Football Team is also 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in its previous game and is 0-5 at the betting window in its last five games coming off a win of more than 14 points.
The Steelers, meanwhile, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as a home favorite, is 4-1 against the number in their last five home games and have cashed in seven of their last nine games overall. Pittsburgh is also 8-2 at the window in its last 10 home games when facing a team with a losing road record.
