Kirk Cousins completed 28-of-43 passes for 305 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the Vikings’ 27-24, Week 13 overtime win over the Jaguars. Cousins’ lone real blemish was a pick-six on a screen pass to Dalvin Cook where Cook wasn’t looking for the ball on the first pay of the second half. The Vikings offense got off to a pitiful start, failing to get out of neutral in the first quarter with just 20 total yards, but Cousins picked it up after that. This marked his third straight 300-yards, three-touchdown game, and he has multiple touchdowns in five straight contests. The Vikings are 5-1 over their last six, and Cousins is getting hot at the right time. His touchdowns in this one went to Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and FB C.J. Ham. Cousins gets a tougher Week 14 date with the Bucs off Tampa’s bye. He’ll be more of a high-end QB2 for that one.
Tampa Bay Bucs DFS Spin
Tom Brady completed 27-of-41 passes for 345 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Bucs’ 27-24, Week 12 loss to the Chiefs. Brady was having another game to forget before somewhat garbage-timing his way to a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Mike Evans from 31 and seven yards out when Tampa entered the final 15 minutes down 27-10. Brady’s other touchdown pass was a 37-yarder to Ronald Jones in the second quarter where Jones did all the work to tightrope the left sideline to the end zone. Brady has now tossed eight interceptions over the last four games after tossing just four total Weeks 1-8. Brady doesn’t look quite right at the moment and has five more weeks to get it together before the playoffs, though the Bucs have lost three straight games. Brady gets an easy Week 13 date with the Vikings.
Vikings at Bucs Week 14 Prediction
The Vikings are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five trips to Raymond James Stadium and are 2-6 against the number in their last eight games versus the Bucs overall. Minnesota is also winless at the betting window in its last four games after allowing more than 350 total yards in its previous contest and is 2-6 against the number in its last eight games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in its previous game.
On the other side, the Bucs are 5-1-2 against the spread in their last eight games played in December, are 4-0 against the number in their last four games coming off a loss and are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous contest.
