Williams unlikely to face Bengals?

Based on a report by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, it’s unlikely that the Steelers will have running back DeAngelo Williams for Saturday night’s playoff game versus the Bengals.

Williams suffered an ankle injury during the first half of the Steelers’ victory over the Browns and reportedly has an “outside chance, albeit a small one” to play Wild Card Weekend.

“His biggest issue could be a matter of pain tolerance,” a source told the Post-Gazette. Beat writer Gerry Dulac also noted that the Steelers “intend to use Fitzgerald Toussaint, Jordan Todman and fullback Will Johnson” when they visit the Bengals on Saturday night.

Despite Williams’ potential unavailability, the Steelers are 2.5-point road favorites at the Bengals at 8:15PM ET. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the over/under currently sits at 46.5 points.

Pittsburgh is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games versus Cincinnati and is 16-4-1 ATS in its last 21 road games versus the Bengals. The road team is also 19-4-1 against the number in the last 29 meetings between these two teams while the over has hit in six of the last eight meetings in Cincinnati.
