Seattle Seahawks DFS Spin
Russell Wilson completed 21-of-27 passes for 206 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in Seattle’s 40-3 Week 14 cakewalk against the Jets. Pete Carroll moved Wilson to the bench with two minutes remaining in the third quarter as the Seahawks comfortably led 37-3 over the lifeless Jets. It was still enough time for Wilson to record his 15th career game with four-plus passing scores, tying Peyton Manning with as many such games through a player’s first nine seasons in the Super Bowl era. Even Wilson’s lone flaw, his first quarter interception to S Marcus Maye, can be thrown out completely since it was a 50-50 ball lobbed to D.K. Metcalf (6/61/1) in the end zone. The Seahawks also had success on the ground, seeing both Chris Carson (12/76/1) and Carlos Hyde (15/66) average over 4.0 yards per carry before getting benched with the rest of the team’s starters. It was a breath of fresh air for an offense that had struggled over the last month, and just in time for Seattle’s upcoming Week 15 matchup against Washington’s blitzkrieg pass rush.

Alex Smith (calf) won’t play in Week 15 against the Seahawks. Dwayne Haskins will instead return as the team’s starter with a one-game lead over the Giants for the NFC East crown intact. Haskins was admittedly miserable under center to open the year, getting benched after four games for completing just 60.9% of his passes with four touchdowns, three picks, and two lost fumbles. With Antonio Gibson (toe) additionally doubtful to suit up, OC Scott Turner would be wise to scheme the ball out of Haskins’ hand as quickly as possible. Terry McLaurin, who did record a team-high in target share from Haskins last year, is hanging by a thread in the second round of the fantasy playoffs.
Seahawks vs. Washington Betting Prediction
The favorite is 5-2-1 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these two teams, while the road side is 4-0-1 against the number in the last five series meetings. The Seahawks, meanwhile, are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous game and is 5-2-2 against the number in its last nine games played in Week 15. While Washington has been great defensively, its offense is in trouble. It hadn’t been scoring in bunches even with Smith under center but without him, the turnover-prone Haskins will have issues moving the ball against a Seattle defense that has played better over the past month.
