New Orleans Saints DFS Spin
Alvin Kamara rushed eight times for five yards in the Saints’ Week 2 loss to the Panthers, adding five receptions for 25 additional yards. Kamara was running into brick walls against a Panthers defense that has been ferocious through two games, though Jameis Winston and the Saints’ passing game were not making things any easier for their running back. The Saints simply have zero reliable targets beyond Kamara, and it was not difficult for the Panthers to diagnose what was happening on any given snap. It was still surprising to see Kamara limited to eight carries one week after he reached 20 for only the second time in his career. The Saints have a lot to work through ahead of next Sunday’s foreboding New England road trip. Despite today’s disaster, Kamara remains a cinch RB1 as a game-proof player who will be funneled all of his team’s most important touches.
New England Patriots DFS Spin
Mac Jones completed 22-of-30 passes for 186 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in the Patriots’ 25-6, Week 2 win over the Jets. Jones absorbed three sacks and fumbled once, but the Patriots recovered it. With fellow rookie Zach Wilson struggling mightily on the other side for the Jets, tossing four interceptions, all Jones had to do was take care of the ball and move the offense into field goal range a number of times. Jones has impressed through two games, even if the counting stats and touchdowns haven’t been there. He’s been in command of the offense. Jones will be a back-end QB2/3 for next week’s date with the Saints in what will likely be a slow-paced contest.
NFL Week 3 Betting Prediction
The under is 5-0 in the Saints’ last five games, is 5-1 in their last six road games and is 5-1 in their last six games after they accumulated less than 150 yards passing in their previous contest. On the other side, the under is 9-1 in the Patriots’ last 10 games overall, is 6-1 in their last seven home games and is 4-1 in their last five games when favored.
NFL WEEK 3 PREDICTION: SAINTS/PATRIOTS UNDER 42.5
