NFL Week 2 Regular Season
Los Angeles Rams DFS Spin
Matthew Stafford completed 20-of-26 passes for 321 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in the Rams’ Week 1 win over the Bears. Stafford got to work right away with a long touchdown to Van Jefferson on Los Angeles’ opening drive. He didn’t stop there, connecting with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods one time each for another two scores. Stafford almost had a fourth touchdown, but Kupp was ruled down at the half-yard line and then Darrell Henderson ran it in. It was a near-perfect performance for Stafford.
Indianapolis Colts DFS Spin
Carson Wentz completed 25-of-38 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns in Indianapolis’ 28-16 Week 1 loss to Seattle. Wentz surprisingly appeared healthy, consistently evading pass rushers and even scrambling four times for 23 yards. It’s worth noting he also targeted Indianapolis’ backfield on 15-of-38 (39%) said attempts. The issue is that his nine lives were all eventually used, taking 14 hits and four sacks over 60 minutes of action. He still fortunately saved his box score in garbage time, finding Zach Pascal (4/43/2) with 4:43 remaining in the fourth quarter. Given the team’s woeful pass-pro in Week 1, the Rams’ front-seven should remove Wentz from any QB2 considerations in Week 2.
Rams vs. Colts Betting Prediction
The over has cashed in the last five meetings between these two teams, is 4-1 in the Rams’ last five road games and is 4-1 in their last five games played in the month of September. On the other side, the over is 6-0 in the Colts’ last six games versus a team with a winning record, is 5-2 in their last seven games following an ATS loss and is 4-1 in their last five games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
