Davante Adams (COVID) is not traveling with the team to Arizona and is out for Week 8 against the Cardinals Thursday night. As expected. Adams was placed on the COVID list Monday, and the short week made it nearly impossible for Adams to gain clearance for Thursday. Allen Lazard is also out after being a close contact of Adams. The hope for the Packers is that Marquez Valdes-Scantling is activated from I.R. in time to face the Cardinals, sliding him in next to Randall Cobb and Equanimeous St. Brown.
Arizona Cardinals DFS Spin
SPN’s Adam Schefter reports J.J. Watt needs season-ending shoulder surgery. Watt was injured last week against the Texans and played the second half with the issue. Ruled out for Week 8 earlier Wednesday, this is now worst-case scenario. The recovery is expected to be three months, so maybe there’s an outside shot he could be ready to return sometime during the playoffs if the 7-0 Cardinals make it there and go deep into the postseason. Watt only has one sack this season but is Pro Football Focus’ No. 10-graded interior defender with really strong marks for his pass-rushing. It’s going to be a big loss.
Packers vs. Cardinals NFL Week 8 Betting Prediction
