Packers vs. Bengals Week 5 Prediction
The Packers are only laying a field goal on the road to the Bengals on Sunday, which has public bettors lined up to back Aaron Rodgers and Co. That said, is Cincinnati the better bet to cash as a home dog?

Aaron Jones (ankle) remained limited during Thursday’s practice. The major news out of the Aaron Jones camp this week has been the Packers fitting a pocket together for his jersey so he can carry his father’s ashes, nothing about this lingering ankle tag. After two weeks of this, it’s likely just workload management for Jones. Start him with confidence against the Bengals in Week 5 unless some big news breaks on Friday.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Joe Mixon (ankle) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Packers. Rapoport added that Mixon “won’t be 100 percent.” Considering he was called week-to-week on Monday, it’s a bit of a surprise to see Mixon suiting up for this game. Bengals coach Zac Taylor was ultimately more optimistic later in the week, calling him day-to-day. It’s hard to know what to expect from Mixon but he is unlikely to see his usual workload. Samaje Perine and Chris Evans should see an uptick in snaps. How much they eat into Mixon’s volume remains to be seen. Mixon can only be used as a risky RB2/3 option this week based on the ambiguity of his role.
Packers vs. Bengals Betting Prediction
The underdog has cashed in four straight meetings between these two teams, while the Bengals are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games as a home dog. The Packers, meanwhile, are 3-7 at the betting window in their last 10 road games versus a team with a winning home record and have dropped five of their last six games against the spread after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous contest.
