Chicago Bears DFS Spin
Roquan Smith (elbow) is questionable for the Wild Card game against New Orleans. As is rookie CB Jaylon Johnson, though neither were able to practice at any point throughout the week. With slot CB Buster Skrine already ruled out, the Bears are expected to be severely shorthanded in the Superdome Sunday. Although a better pass rusher than run-stuffer up the gap, Smith grades as Pro Football Focus’ No. 32 linebacker among 186 qualifiers.
New Orleans Saints DFS Spin
Saints activated RB Alvin Kamara from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Kamara’s COVID absence ended up with its best-case scenario outcome. Kamara misses only one game and won’t have to take a private plane to join the team on Sunday since the game is in New Orleans. He just has to test negative one more time and he will be ready to rock vs. a defense he went 9/96 against as a receiver earlier this season. The Bears were near the bottom of the table in terms of running back fantasy points permitted, but Kamara is still the second best play on Sunday’s three-game DFS slate.
Bears vs. Saints Over/Under Prediction
The under is 11-3 in the Bears’ last 14 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game, is 12-5 in their last 17 games as a road underdog and has cashed in 13 of their last 18 games following a loss. On the other side, the under is 5-2 in the Saints’ last seven games when favored, is 5-2 in their last seven playoff games and is 5-0 in their last five games following a win of more than 14 points.
