NFL Week 14 Opening Line Report
The NFL is heading down the stretch, with some teams jockeying for playoff positioning while others are just trying to ride out the stretch and get to the offseason. With that in mind, here’s a look at the Week 14 betting odds.
Thursday Night
The Titans kept their slim playoff hopes alive on Sunday with a come-from-behind win over the Jets. The Jaguars, meanwhile, shut out a team Tennessee is fighting with in the AFC, the Colts. The Titans will host that Jaguar team on Thursday night in a matchup of AFC South rivals. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Titans are 4.5-point home favorites and the total sits at only 38. As of now, 57% of the betting tickets are on the Titans but 87% of the money wagered is on the Jaguars.
Early Sunday Action
The Chiefs are laying 7 points to a rejuvenated Ravens team, one that is 3-0 since starting rookie Lamar Jackson. The Panthers-Browns matchup at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday opened as a pick’em but Carolina is now a 1-point road favorite. The total for that game, meanwhile, sits at 47 points after hitting the board at 46.5 and both the betting tickets (84%) and money wagered (86%) is on the over.
Continuing with the early action on Sunday, the Bucs are 8-point home dogs versus the Saints despite pulling off a small upset on Sunday against the Panthers and New Orleans falling to Dallas last Thursday night. The total sits at 57.5 points.
Other early action: The Texans are laying 4 points at home to the Colts (49.5), the Giants are catching 1 point on the road to the Redskins (n/a), and the Packers are 6-point home favorites to beat the Falcons (47.5) after firing head coach Mike McCarthy. The Bills are also 9-point underdogs versus the Jets and the Dolphins are 8-point home pups to the Patriots.
Late Sunday Action
The biggest matchup in the late action is in the NFC East, as the Cowboys host the Eagles at 3:25 p.m. ET. Dallas opened as 4-point home favorites and that’s where the line currently sits. As of this writing, the total is not available for that game.
In the other late action, the Broncos are 5.5-point road favorites to beat the 49ers while the struggling Steelers are laying 11.5 points on the road to the Raiders, who gave the Chiefs all they could handle on Sunday. There is no line between the Bengals and Chargers as of now.
Primetime Matchups
In one of the best matchups of the weekend, the Bears are 3.5-point home underdogs to the visiting Rams on Sunday Night Football. Mitchell Tribusky should be back under center for a Chicago team that lost with Chase Daniel in New York on Sunday.
Finally, the Seahawks are 3-point home favorites versus the Vikings on Monday Night Football in a matchup of NFC playoff contenders. The total for that game is 45 points.
