NFL Week 13 Betting Report
Week 13 in the NFL kicks off Thursday night in Dallas with a critical NFC matchup between the Saints and Cowboys at 8:20 p.m. ET. Here is a quick-hit look at the spreads, totals and where the early money is going for each game.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Cowboys opened as 7.5-point home underdogs versus the Saints and that’s where the line currently sits. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 51.5 but was bet up to 53. The currently betting tickets are on the Saints at 68% and thus far, most of the money (91%) is on the over.
Moving to the action on Sunday, the Falcons are a rare home underdog versus the Ravens at +2.5 but 82% of the betting tickets and 90% of the money is on Atlanta. There is no line yet for the Bears-Giants game as oddsmakers wait to see if Mitchell Trubisky will return from injury, while the Packers are laying 14.5 points to the visiting Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. ET despite having their playoff hopes crushed in Minnesota last Sunday night.
Also on Sunday, the Rams are a whopping 9.5-point road favorite versus the Lions while the total for that game has jumped from 54.5 up to 55. Both the betting tickets (75%) and the money wagered (89%) is on the Rams. Meanwhile, there is no line for the Broncos-Bengals game as Andy Dalton’s status is question, and the Steelers are laying 3.5 points in a critical AFC matchup with the visiting Chargers at 1:00 p.m. Thus far, 67% of the betting tickets are on L.A. but 60% of the money is on Pittsburgh.
The rejuvenated Browns are catching 4.5 points as an underdog versus the Texans and 69% of the betting tickets are Cleveland to open the week. That said, 58% of the money wagered is coming in on the Texans. Also in the AFC, the Dolphins are laying six points to the visiting Bills, who are fresh off an upset of the Jaguars. Eighty-three percent of the betting tickets and 66% of the money is on Buffalo.
The Colts have an opportunity to claim the final wild card in the AC and are a 3.5-point road favorite versus the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. The struggling Panthers are also laying four points to NFC South rival the Bucs at 1:00 p.m. ET and thus far, 56% of the betting tickets are on Tampa.
Moving to the late action on Sunday, the Chiefs are laying 15 points on the road to the Raiders (56 is the total) while the Titans are laying 10.5 points to the hapless Jets at 4:05 p.m. ET. In one of the more intriguing matchups of Week 13, the Patriots are 7.5-point home favorites versus the Vikings (48.5) and 67% of the betting tickets are on Minnesota to cover the spread.
Finally, the Seahawks are 10-point home favorites versus NFC West rival San Francisco at 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday night. Thus far, 64% of the betting tickets and 68% of the money is on Seattle. Also in prime time, the Eagles are 7-point home favorites against the Redskins (44) but 75% of the betting tickets and 61% of the money is on Washington.
