NFL Week 10 Betting Report

Following a wild Sunday in the NFL, what are the spreads and totals for Week 10 in the league? Here’s a look at the biggest and smallest spreads, the highest and lowest totals, plus an early look at which teams bettors are putting their money on.

Biggest Point Spread

According to most sports books, the line in the NFC South matchup between the Falcons and Saints is the largest on the Week 10 slate. After opening as a 12.5-point home favorite, the Saints are now 12-point faves to knock off the 1-7 Falcons. Both teams are coming off their byes but while the Saints are rolling to perhaps another NFC title game appearance, the Falcons are battling for the No. 1 spot in April’s NFL draft.

Smallest Point Spread

The Thursday Night Football matchup this week pits AFC West rivals the Chargers and Raiders against each other in Oakland. The Raiders opened as 1.5-point home favorites but the line has jumped the fence and now the Chargers are 1-point road favorites. Both teams are coming off wins in Week 9, victories that, perhaps momentarily, put them back into the wild card discussion in the AFC.

Highest Total

Given Arizona’s struggles defensively and Tampa’s ability to play in shootouts, it’s not surprising to see the Cardinals-Bucs total sitting in the 50s. After hitting the board at 53, the total for that Sunday 1:00 p.m. ET matchup has been bet up to 53.5. The Bucs played in the highest-scoring game in Week 9, a 40-34 overtime shootout with the Seahawks.

Lowest Total

When the Bills travel to Cleveland this Sunday, their matchup with the Browns will have the lowest total on the Week 10 slate. After hitting the board at 42.5, the over/under for this 1:00 p.m. ET matchup is now down to 41.5. The Browns once again struggled offensively on Sunday, scoring just 19 points on the road versus the Broncos.

Largest ATS Move

The lowly Jets opened as 3.5-point home favorites versus their in-stadium rival the Giants for their 1:00 p.m. ET matchup on Sunday. That said, the Jets are now 2.5-point “home” underdogs to the “visiting” Giants after losing to the once winless Dolphins this past weekend. The Steelers have also gone from 1-point home favorites to 4-point underdogs in their matchup with the Rams, while the Colts opened as 15-point home favorites to beat the aforementioned Dolphins, but are now 11.5-point home favorites with the possibility of Jacoby Brissett missing next week’s game due to a knee injury suffered on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Public Betting Lookahead

As of Monday morning, the Bills are receiving the most betting action from the public at 84% to cover versus the Browns. The Giants are also receiving 81% of the betting tickets to cover against the Jets while 78% of the betting tickets are on the Rams to cover the number on the road versus the Steelers.
