Buffalo Bills Game Notes
Stefon Diggs caught 7-of-9 targets for 39 yards in Buffalo’s Week 12 win over the Chargers. Diggs’ two targets in the first half were both negated for penalties (downfield DPI, offensive holding), technically listing him with his first target (and catch) in the third quarter. His usage over the last 30 minutes was strictly underneath or at the line of scrimmage as Josh Allen continued to run for his life from Joey Bosa (career-high three sacks) and get rid of the ball as quickly as possible. Diggs still finished with a team-high nine targets and is now averaging 12.6 in the three games John Brown (calf) has missed this year. Diggs will again rank as a volume-based WR1 with a salivating ceiling in Week 13 against the 49ers.
San Francisco 49ers Game Notes
Brandon Aiyuk (COVID-19) is practicing in full for Week 13 against the Bills. Aiyuk ended up missing only one game since the 49ers were on bye in Week 11. Deebo Samuel blew up for 11 receptions on 13 targets in Aiyuk’s Week 12 absence, but this receiver corps could prove big enough for the both of ’em. With George Kittle (foot) still sidelined, coach Kyle Shanahan lacks compelling alternatives for target funnels. Samuel gets the Week 13 rankings edge following his impressive return, but Aiyuk is absolutely in the WR3 mix.
Bills vs. 49ers Betting Prediction
The under is 36-17 in the Bills’ last 53 games on the road, is 5-2 in their last seven games played in the month of December and is 12-5 in their last 17 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous contest. The under is also 4-1 in Buffalo’s last five appearances on Monday night, is 18-6 in its last 24 games as an underdog and is 6-2 in its last eight games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in its previous game. On the other side, the under has cashed in seven of the last nine times the 49ers played in Week 13.
