Detroit Lions DFS Spin
D’Andre Swift (illness) has been downgraded to doubtful for Week 13 against the Bears. Swift isn’t going to play, missing his third straight game. In his absence, look for Adrian Peterson to grind the clock for the Lions and handle the money touches at the goal line as a TD-or-bust fantasy proposition. Kerryon Johnson will likely lead the backfield in playing time as a safer-floor but lower-upside RB3/4.
Chicago Bears DFS Spin
Coach Matt Nagy confirmed Mitchell Trubisky will start Week 13 against the Lions. Nick Foles has a hip injury and was limited in Wednesday’s practice, but Nagy said his velocity and all that isn’t anywhere near what it needs to be coming off the injury. Trubisky was 26-of-46 for 242 yards and a 3:2 TD:INT mark in the Bears’ blowout loss to the Packers last Sunday night. Against the Lions, Trubisky obviously has upside, but his floor is just as low.
Lions vs. Bears Betting Prediction
Even though both of these teams have had issues moving the ball offensively, I actually like the over, which is 4-1 in the Lions’ last five games. The over is also 4-1 in Detroit’s last five games as an underdog and has cashed in five of the last six times the Lions allowed more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest. The over is also 8-2 in the Bears’ last 10 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game. Sometimes when two bad teams get together, fireworks happen and Trubisky has a way of lighting up this Detroit team.
