Free NFL Picks for Sunday

Week 5 of the NFL season sees three teams laying double digits. So who will cover and who won’t. Let’s get right into it.

Titans at Colts (-19, O/U 48): It isn’t everyday that a team is laying 19 in the NFL, however, it also isn’t everyday that the worst defense in football goes up against a juggernaut offense.
Prediction: You can’t bet on the Titans this season. Lay the points. Colts 37
Titans 10

Redskins at Giants (-4.5, O/U 45): The bye week has restored order in New
York. The players are no longer calling out the coach and realize that this is
the perfect opportunity to get back to .500.
Prediction: Giants 24 Redskins 13

Lions at Vikings (-6.5, O/U 40): Minnesota’s offense doesn’t seem capable of
beating anybody by a touchdown. This game has “win-but-not-cover” written all
over it.
Prediction: Vikings 16 Lions 14

Bucs at Saints (-6.5, O/U 35): New Orleans has been a pleasant surprise so
far. With no Chris Simms under center, Tampa Bay will struggle to move the
ball. Look for the Saints to cover a low-scoring game.
Prediction: Saints 20 Bucs 6

Rams at Packers (-3, O/U 47): Things are not looking good in Green
Bay…again. After being torched by the Eagles, the Pack cut their nickelback.
Not exactly something you want to do with Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce coming to
town.
Prediction: Rams 30 Packers 14

Dolphins at Patriots (-10, O/U37.5): After a one-week separation, the
bookmakers are back in love with the Pats. After a loss to the Texans, the
Dolphins are no longer the popular pick. Well, things turn around this week.
Miami will not only keep it close but pull out a big upset.
Prediction: Dolphins 23 Patriots 21

Bills at Bears (-10, O/U 34): Chicago has steamrolled the competition this
year, but the Bills defense should not be written off. The Bears will win this
one but fail to cover.
Prediction: Bears 23 Bills 14

Browns at Panthers (-8, O/U 37.5): Blowout alert! Cleveland struggled to get
past the Raiders and now has to face a Panthers team that finally has woken
up. Uh-oh.
Prediction: Panthers 30 Browns 10

Jets at Jaguars (-6.5, O/U 37): Sorry, but the Jets are playing some really
good football. Too much so to jump on a Jags team that allowed 36 points to
the Redskins. Check the moneyline on this one, might be worth it.
Prediction: Jets 24 Jaguars 16

Chiefs at Cardinals (-3.5, O/U 39): The Cardinals haven’t covered a game all
season and don’t expect them to start now. Larry Johnson will have another LJ-
esque game, leading to an easy road victory. The Dennis Green job watch is
officially on.
Prediction:  Chiefs 30 Cardinals 13

Raiders at 49ers (-3.5, 41): Umm, well, ok. These two teams are
verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry bad. And when that happens, follow one rule: Bet against
the Raiders.
Prediction: 49ers 4 Raiders 0.

Cowboys at Eagles (-2, O/U 44): The storyline of the week is T.O.’s return to
Philly. A banged-up Eagles secondary could open things up for Owens and Terry
Glenn, but there is no way Donovan McNabb loses this game.
Prediction: Eagles 27 Cowboys 20

Steelers at Chargers (-3.5, 37.5): Don’t you just feel the “time to turn it
around” vibe coming from Pittsburgh. This is a team that kept surprising
people to end last season and ended up winning the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh
can’t start 1-3, can it?
Prediction: Steelers 23 Chargers 16

Baltimore at Denver (-4, O/U 33): Everyone is jumping on the 4-0 Ravens. The
come-from-behind win over the Chargers was nice, but the Broncos don’t lose in
Denver.
Prediction: Broncos 23 Ravens 10
