Taylor Heinicke completed 24-of-39 attempts for 182 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in Washington’s Week 6 loss to the Chiefs. Heinicke managed to do the (seemingly) impossible: Underperform against a Chiefs defense that had allowed a 67.7 percent completion rate and 8.9 yards per pass attempt — the league’s third highest rate headed into Week 6. Heinicke didn’t log a single rushing attempt after racking up 22 rushes in his first four starts this year. He extended plays against a feisty Kansas City pass rush but couldn’t connect with Terry McLaurin on a couple deep shots that would have saved his fantasy day. Without a solid outing next week against the Packers, Heinicke could be well on his way to losing the starting gig to Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip), who could be cleared to return as soon as Week 7.
Green Bay Packers DFS Spin
Aaron Rodgers has completed 37.2 percent of his pass attempts while under pressure this season, the fourth lowest rate in the league. Rodgers’ struggles while facing pressure have continued into the 2021 season — only rookies Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance have been more inaccurate when under pressure through six weeks. Last season, Rodgers completed 45.3 percent of his under-pressure passes, the 12th lowest rate among NFL starters. Thankfully for Rodgers drafters, he’s seen pressure on a mere 28.3 percent of his 2021 drop backs and the Packers play a Washington defense that hasn’t made life difficult for opposing quarterbacks in 2021.
