Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Patrick Mahomes completed 32-of-47 passes for 397 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Chiefs’ Week 6 win against Washington. Mahomes’ final stat line is deceiving, as he and the Kansas City offense struggled mightily in the first half against a Football Team defense that’s offered little resistance this season. After throwing two first half picks — neither of them his fault — Mahomes turned it up in the second half, methodically picking apart Washington’s marshmallow soft secondary even as Tyreek Hill (quad) and Travis Kelce (arm) came in and out of the KC lineup. Mahomes and the KC offense continue to flounder but for fantasy purposes, the Big Three are as reliable as ever. Mahomes gets another burnable secondary next week when the Chiefs take on the Titans.
Tennessee Titans DFS Spin
Ryan Tannehill completed 18-of-29 passes for 216 scoreless yards and one interception in the Titans’ 34-31, Week 6 win over the Bills, adding a four-yard rushing touchdown. Tannehill’s interception was a pass thrown way too late to A.J. Brown in the first half. With both Brown and Julio Jones banged up and in and out of the lineup all season, Tannehill’s numbers leave a lot to be desired. It’s been all Derrick Henry for the Titans the last five weeks, with five straight 100-yard games and three three-touchdown rushing outings. Tannehill simply isn’t needed with Henry running it so well. Tannehill, however, did chip in with a four-yard rushing score of his own on an RPO. He’s likely going to need to do more with his arm next week against the Chiefs.
Chiefs vs. Titans Betting Prediction
The Chiefs are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus the Titans, while the underdog has cashed in four of the last five meetings as well. Kansas City is also 4-12 at the window in its last 16 games as a favorite, is 0-4 against the number in its last four conference games and 0-4 ATS in its last four games following a win. On the other side, the Titans are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games and are 5-2-1 against the number in their last eight games played in the month of October.
