Patrick Mahomes said his toe injury is “pretty close to 100 percent.” He suffered the toe injury in the Divisional Round against Cleveland before he left the game with a concussion. Mahomes said rest has helped with the toe issue. It didn’t seem to hobble him in the AFC title game against Buffalo, as he rushed five times for five yards and displayed his usual pocket elusiveness. The injury shouldn’t hinder Mahomes in his bid for a Super Bowl repeat this Sunday.
Tampa Bay Bucs DFS Spin
Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said he would not be surprised if Tom Brady plays for the Bucs beyond the 2021 season. Arians’ comment is just the latest indication that Brady, 43, could spend at least a few seasons as the face of the franchise. Signed through next season, Brady said Monday that he “definitely” wants to play beyond his age 45 season, which would be 2022. He said he’d work on his speed this offseason. Barring a massive drop off next season, Arians and the Bucs will keep Brady for as long as he wants to play in Tampa. His commitment to playing two or three more years could keep guys like Chris Godwin from leaving Tampa via free agency.
Chiefs vs. Bucs Super Bowl Betting Prediction
The Chiefs are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus the Bucs, while the underdog has cashed in four of the last five meetings as well. For as great as Kansas City has been this season, the Chiefs are just 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games overall, are 2-7 against the number in their last nine games as a favorite and are 2-7 at the betting window in their last nine games coming off a win.
Meanwhile, the Bucs are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four playoff games as an underdog, which include back-to-back wins this postseason versus the Saints in the Divisional round, as well as the Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Tampa is also 4-1 against the spread in its last five games overall and 4-0 against the number in its last four games as an underdog.
