There is plenty on the line Sunday night in Chicago as the Bears host the L.A. Rams at 8:20 p.m. ET. With the Rams vying for the top seed in the NFC and the Bears looking to inch closer to an NFC North title, which side is the better bet to cover tonight?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Rams are 3-point favorites to beat the Bears. The total, meanwhile, sits at 51 points. As of this writing, 66% of the public betting tickets are on the Rams to cover the point spread.
Los Angeles Rams
Todd Gurley rumbled to 132 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards on five targets Sunday in the Rams’ Week 13 victory over the Lions. The Rams as a whole looked sluggish coming off last week’s bye, but Gurley sure didn’t. After mostly taking a backseat in L.A.’s entertaining win over Kansas City two weeks ago (an ankle injury hampered him in that game), Gurley returned to the limelight with a stellar showing in the Motor City. Working as the Rams’ only healthy back (backup Malcolm Brown was lost to a shoulder injury in the first half), Gurley added his 18th and 19 touchdowns of the season with both scores coming in the second half. Gurley teased fantasy owners by purposely going down on the one-yard line on what should have been a walk-in touchdown with little time remaining (he pulled a similar stunt against the Packers earlier this year), but he saved fantasy owners a panic attack by scoring later in the drive. The win clinched L.A.’s second straight division title. The NFC-leading Rams will head to Chicago next week to face the Bears on Sunday Night Football. That game, of course, will be shown on NBC.
Chicago Bears
Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) will start in Week 14 against the Rams. Following three full practices, Trubisky was promptly removed from the team’s injury report. “The main thing for us was just seeing conditioning wise if [Trubisky] can could hold up and he did,” coach Matt Nagy said. Consider the second-year play-caller a QB1 across all formats Sunday night.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Rams are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games versus NFC opponents and are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games against an opponent that owns a winning record.
Chicago
The Bears are 15-5-1 against the number in their last 21 home games and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Prediction
The Rams will play on the road for the second time in as many weeks and will play in the elements for the first time all season. The Bears should be amped for this one, especially with Trubisky back under center. Jared Goff and the passing game looked sluggish last Sunday in Detroit and could struggle against tonight against Chicago’s stout defense. While the Bears stubbed their toe last week in East Rutherford, I’m banking on a rebound tonight. I’ll take the points but wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bears win outright.
