Los Angeles Chargers DFS Spin
Justin Herbert completed 26-of-43 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns in the Chargers’ 47-42, Week 5 win over the Browns, adding three carries for 30 rushing yards and a fifth touchdown. The two teams combined for over 1,000 yards and 66 second-half points. After a slow start to the fantasy season despite strong real-life football, Herbert’s been on an absolute tear with 12 touchdowns over the last three weeks. His touchdowns in this one were a 22-yarder to Donald Parham, two long balls to Mike Williams, and then a 19-yard hookup with Austin Ekeler. They were sandwiched around a nine-yard rushing score for Herbert. An every-week QB1, Herbert gets the Ravens in Week 6. Herbert has been even better than he was last season when he won Rookie of the Year honors.
Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Lamar Jackson (illness) practiced in full Friday and was not listed on the Ravens’ injury report. Jackson is good to go for Week 6 against the Chargers, in what should be an exciting matchup. The Ravens have shown a surprising willingness to pass over recent week, and now get Rashod Bateman back from his groin injury. However, the Chargers offense is a clear run funnel, and the Ravens could get back to basics this week. In either case, Jackson should be heavily involved. Jackson is several tiers above his current running backs as a rusher, and offers passing upside for another big week despite a difficult matchup.
Chargers vs. Ravens Betting Prediction
The road team has cashed in all five of the last five meetings between these two teams while the underdog has cashed in four straight meetings. The Chargers are also 6-0 against the spread in their last six conference games, are 4-0 against the number in their last four road games and are now 8-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. On the other side, the Ravens are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games when playing Week 6 of a season, are 10-26-1 ATS in their last 37 games played in the month of October and are winless at 0-5 ATS in their last five home games when facing an opponent with a winning road record.
