Browns vs. Jets Week 16 Prediction
The Jets won their first game last Sunday in shocking fashion when they beat the Rams as a 17-point road dog. What will they do for an encore this Sunday when they host the Browns at 1:00 p.m. ET? Will New York at least cover as a 9.5-point home dog?

Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Baker Mayfield is fantasy football’s third highest scoring quarterback over the past four weeks. Mayfield is torching opposing secondaries, completing 70.2 percent of his passes over the stretch. He’s second in touchdown passes (10), and third in passing yards (1,232) over the past four games, most recently throwing for 297 yards and two scores against the Giants. He’s emerged as a plug-and-play QB1 in a Browns offense that seemed intent on being a run-heavy unit in which Mayfield would be nothing more than a conservative game manager. Cleveland’s dominant offensive line has kept Mayfield cleaner than almost any signal caller in the league: he’s faced pressure on a meager 26.7 percent of his drop backs this season, the fifth lowest rate in the NFL. Mayfield and Jalen Hurts are superb Week 16 streaming options. The Browns play the Jets.
New York Jets DFS Spin
Sam Darnold completed 22-of-31 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ 23-20, Week 15 win over the Rams. Just like that, the Jets are now 1-13 and no longer in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 overall pick, aka Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence. The also 1-13 Jaguars hold the tiebreaker with the easier strength of schedule. Jets fans will be aghast that Gang Green did not see the tank through, but truth be told, they did not play that well or aggressively. The Rams simply slept walked through a catastrophic loss. The Jets put the ball in Frank Gore’s gut over and over again, and his 23/59/1 line was somehow enough. Darnold’s score was an 18-yard strike to Ty Johnson on the Jets’ opening drive where the Rams never accounted for the running back. There was a miscommunication between the linebackers and secondary. Beyond that, Darnold found each of Jamison Crowder, Chris Herndon and Breshad Perriman for 20-yard gains, but nothing longer than 24. It was mostly the same old Jets, minus no turnovers. It was not the same old Rams. The Jets close the season vs. CLE and @NE, with the Jags going vs. CHI, @IND. That is a distinct Jags advantage when it comes to landing, yes, generational talent Lawrence.
Browns vs. Jets Week 16 Prediction
The under has cashed in seven of the last 10 meetings between these two teams and is 42-17-3 in the Browns’ last 62 games played in the month of December. One trend that goes hand-in-hand with that December one is that the under is also 15-2-1 in Cleveland’s last 18 games played in Week 16, which is remarkable.
On the other side, the under is 7-1 in the Jets’ last eight games versus an opponent with a winning record, is 4-1 in their last five games played in the month of December and is 8-3 in their last 11 games as an underdog. The under has also cashed in seven of New York’s last 10 games overall.
