Denver Broncos DFS Spin
Drew Lock, Blake Bortles, and Brett Rypien tested negative for COVID-19 and have been cleared to return to the team. All three signal callers missed Week 12 after contract tracing showed they were not wearing masks around QB Jeff Driskel, who tested positive for the virus. Denver was predictably walloped by the Saints Sunday with practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton under center. Lock will start this week against the Chiefs. He’ll only be startable in superflex formats.
Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Patrick Mahomes completed 37-of-49 passes for 462 yards and three touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 27-24, Week 12 win over the Bucs. He added 28 rushing yards on four attempts. This was Mahomes’ fifth 400-yard passing game in his career and second of the season. All three touchdowns went to Tyreek Hill from 75, 44, and 20 yards out, and Mahomes could’ve had an even bigger afternoon if he hadn’t missed a wide-open Mecole Hardman for what should have been a walk-in 89-yard score. The throw was well behind Hardman who had nobody around him in the middle of the field. Mahomes is obviously the best player on the planet and gets a luscious Week 13 draw against the Broncos.
Broncos vs. Chiefs Betting Prediction
The Broncos are 1-9 against the spread in their last 10 games versus the Chiefs, while the favorite in this series is 4-1 against the number in the last five meetings. The Broncos are also just 8-20-1 against the number in their last 29 games versus AFC West rivals and are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after allowing less than 150 yards passing in their previous game. The Chiefs, meanwhile, are 9-2-1 against the spread in their last 12 home games, are 8-2-1 against the number in their last 11 games as a home favorite and are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games played in the month of December.
