Our Bengals vs. Falcons prediction centers on a quarterback gap that the market has priced at a field goal. Joe Burrow brings the NFL’s touchdown-pass lead into the Santiago Bernabéu, where Cincinnati faces Atlanta in the second regular-season NFL game ever played in Spain. Michael Penix Jr. arrives off a four-interception afternoon in Tampa. Cincinnati is a 3-point favorite with the total at 53, up from an opening 51.5. We break down the matchup, the line movement and the two plays we like most below.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons Betting Preview
Cincinnati enters at 5-2 and sits second in the AFC North, a half game behind 6-2 Pittsburgh. The Bengals have won three straight and topped 30 points in each win. The run began with a 31-24 win in Miami, covered in our Bengals vs. Dolphins prediction, and continued with a 35-13 rout in Baltimore, previewed in our Bengals vs. Ravens prediction. Burrow has thrown 20 touchdown passes, the most in the league, and he averages 302.1 passing yards per game. Last week he threw for 462 yards and five touchdowns in a 43-36 overtime win over Tennessee. Tee Higgins ranks second in the NFL with 726 receiving yards.
Atlanta is 3-5 under first-year coach Kevin Stefanski. However, that record still leaves the Falcons a half game behind 3-4 Carolina in a weak NFC South. Bijan Robinson leads the league with 780 rushing yards. The Falcons have alternated results lately, with a 45-24 win at New Orleans followed by losses to Baltimore and Chicago. The 29-20 upset of San Francisco then gave way to the shutout in Tampa. The passing game is the concern. Penix went 8-for-24 with four interceptions in a 16-0 loss at Tampa Bay, and the Falcons went 0-for-12 on third down.
Injuries tilt the depth chart further. Atlanta has ruled out running back Brian Robinson Jr. and receiver Zachariah Branch with hamstring injuries, and Samson Ebukam is on injured reserve. Linebacker Divine Deablo is questionable. Meanwhile, edge rusher James Pearce Jr. returns from an eight-game suspension after a 10.5-sack rookie season. Robinson’s absence matters for Atlanta’s plan. Without its second back, more of the run game falls on Bijan Robinson, and Stefanski needs that ground game to keep Burrow on the sideline. On the other side, Cincinnati is without safety Kyle Dugger, who was ruled out with a quad injury. Defensive end Cedric Johnson is questionable.
The only recent meeting went Cincinnati’s way. The Bengals beat Atlanta 35-17 in October 2022, when Burrow threw for 481 yards. Atlanta is the designated home team, but the game is on neutral ground in Madrid.

Bengals vs. Falcons Prediction — Burrow’s 13-Touchdown Tear Meets a Minus-7 Turnover Margin
The case starts with the gap between these offenses. Cincinnati scores 29.4 points per game, second in the NFL, and Burrow has 13 touchdown passes over the last three games. Atlanta scores 21.4 per game and carries a minus-7 turnover differential, 30th in the league. Penix had thrown 144 straight passes without an interception before Tampa, so the four picks were an outlier. Still, a turnover margin that poor reflects more than one bad afternoon. A quarterback mismatch this wide usually shows up in the margin.
The market agrees, quietly. The number has stayed at 3 since it opened. However, the price on Cincinnati moved from -115 to -120 while the Falcons went from -105 to +100. Spread tickets lean slightly toward Atlanta at 52%. So the juice moved toward the side drawing fewer tickets. That split is too thin to call a strong reverse move, but it confirms the read rather than fighting it. The moneyline shows where the casual money sits, with 89% of moneyline bets on Cincinnati.
There is a real case for Atlanta. Three is the most important number in football, and a field-goal margin is the most common result in the sport. The Bengals are 3-3-1 against the spread and did not cover as 13.5-point favorites against Tennessee. Their defense also allowed 36 points last week. In contrast, Atlanta beat San Francisco 29-20 two weeks ago when Penix completed 25 of 34 for three touchdowns. Even so, our read of Burrow against this Atlanta offense clears the break-even bar the current price sets.
The Pick: Bengals -3.0 (-120)
Bengals vs. Falcons Prediction — Who Fills the Pass-Rush Gap Ebukam Left Behind?
The second play isolates the part of the Cincinnati offense we trust most. Higgins has 726 yards in seven games, roughly 104 per game, at 16.9 yards per catch. He caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two scores against Tennessee. That made four games since 2021 in which he and Chase both topped 100 yards. The attention Chase draws does not cap his partner’s ceiling. His season pace sits comfortably above the mid-range yardage marks this prop market offers, and Ja’Marr Chase draws coverage on the other side. Atlanta also lost Ebukam to injured reserve, which thins its edge rotation.
The risk is real. The Falcons rank sixth in pressure rate, and Pearce adds a proven rusher, though Stefanski had not committed to a snap count for him. Higgins is also a big-play receiver, so one quiet half can sink this number. Note that this pick leans on the same input as the spread pick. If Burrow is pressured into a slow day, both tickets suffer together.
The Pick: Tee Higgins 80+ Receiving Yards (-105)
Our Final Word on Bengals vs. Falcons
The total drew a look and did not make the cut. It rose from 51.5 to 53, and the over is 5-2 in Cincinnati games this season. Still, the move has already taken the best of the number. Atlanta’s last two games also stayed under, and its run defense allowed just 88.9 yards per game before Tampa’s outlier day. The total is also where the two teams’ strengths cancel out. Cincinnati’s offense pushes toward a shootout, while Atlanta’s best path is a long, run-heavy game that shortens the clock. With that tension already reflected in a higher number, the cleaner edges sit with Burrow’s side and his top receiver.
We like Bengals -3.0 at -120 because Cincinnati’s second-ranked scoring offense meets an Atlanta team that sits 30th in turnover margin. We also like Tee Higgins 80+ Receiving Yards at -105 because his roughly 104-yard weekly pace sits well above that line.
