Bengals vs. Browns Odds
CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) – The Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals are looking some something positive to start the 2011 NFL Season when the two meet on Sunday at 1PM ET.
The Cincinnati Bengals were 4-12 last season while the Cleveland Browns were slightly better, finishing 5-11. The Bengals have won four of the last five meetings with the Browns, but Cleveland has covered the spread in three of the last four games. This game will be played at 1PM ET and aired on CBS.
Trends show that underdog has covered the spread in 7 of the last 8 games in this series. Cleveland is just 1-10-1 ATS in their last 12 Week 1 games while Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September.

The Browns were 3-5 at home last season. Cleveland had the second-worst offense in the NFL last season, averaging just 16.9 points and 289.7 yards per game. Running back Peyton Hillis was the catalyst of the offense, as he rushed for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns while catching 61 passes for 477 yards and two scores. On defense, Cleveland held opponents to 20.8 points and 250 yards per game. The Browns did allowed 129 rushing yards per contest.
The Bengals were just 1-7 in road games last season. Cincinnati averaged 20.1 points and 330.6 yards per game on offense last season. Quarterback Carson Palmer, who threw for 3,970 yards last season has retired, leaving the quarterbacking duties to rookie Andy Dalton. Dalton struggled early in the preseason but started to come around as the regular season drew closer. The Bengals gave up 24.7 points and 332 yards per game on defense last season.
In terms of Injuries, Cincinnati linebacker Keith Rivers is doubtful to play with a wrist injury while Cleveland receiver Mohamed Massaquoi is questionable with a leg injury. Browns’ running back Montario Hardesty is also questionable with a knee injury.
