Chicago Bears DFS Spin
Justin Fields completed 16-of-27 passes for 174 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Bears’ 24-14, Week 6 loss to the Packers. He rushed six times for 43 yards, which is actually his best rushing output of the season. The upside just hasn’t been there for Fields. He’s averaging just 140.5 passing yards per game as a starter with a 2:2 TD:INT mark and 3.75-17-0 as a runner per week. His touchdown in this one was a short hookup with Darnell Mooney. Fields had an open Allen Robinson deep earlier in the game for a would-be touchdown but was under intense pressure and couldn’t make the throw. Fields is well off the fantasy radar ahead of a Week 7 date with the Bucs in Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay Bucs DFS Spin
Tom Brady completed 34-of-42 passes for 297 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Bucs’ 28-22, Week 6 win over the Eagles. Brady set a breakneck early tone on the opening drive, finding each of his big three wideouts for first-down conversions as the Bucs marched down the field in five minutes for a touchdown. Proving that his thumb injury was not an issue, Brady ended the opening frame 11-of-12 for 121 yards and two scores. He was quieter the rest of the night as a sort of bizarre equilibrium settled in between the two teams where the Eagles failed to threaten with the Bucs nevertheless failing to put the game away. The script was flipped in the fourth quarter with the Eagles finally coming alive and drawing to 28-22 after falling behind 28-7. Brady then, as he always does, easily iced the game with a march deep into Eagles territory. Brady ended up sailing a throw or two, but it was stunning how accurate he appeared as he played through a sprained throwing hand ligament. He has 10 days to rest up for a Week 7 home matchup with the Bears.
Bears vs. Bucs Betting Prediction
The Bears are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games against the Bucs and have covered in four of their last five games after allowing more than 150 rushing yards in their previous game. The Bucs, meanwhile, are just 4-14-1 against the spread in their last 19 games played in the month of October and are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games as a favorite.
