Saints vs. Eagles Odds
A pair of surprising 1-3 teams meet up on Sunday in the NFL as the Philadelphia Eagles host the New Orleans Saints at 1PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Philadelphia is the slight favorite in this game, as the Eagles are getting odds of -4.5 points against the Saints. The over/under total for the game has been set at 49.5 points. The Saints have won and covered the spread in three straight meetings with the Eagles.
New Orleans is 1-3 on the season, 2-2 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. The Saints finally got in the win column last week with a 26-20 OT win over the Cowboys at home. New Orleans is now averaging 21.5 points and 402.5 yards per game on offense, while the defense is giving up 26 points and 392 yards per game. Drew Brees has thrown for 969 yards and four touchdowns to lead the offense while Mark Ingram has 204 rushing yards to lead the team. The defense is led by Hau’oli Kikaha, who has 26 tackles and three sacks.
Philadelphia is 1-3 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 4-0 with the under. After beating the Jets a few weeks ago, the Eagles suffered a 23-20 loss to the Redskins on the road last week. The Eagles are averaging just 19.5 points and 307 yards per game on offense, while the defense is giving up 21.5 points and 381.8 yards per game. Sam Bradford has thrown for 948 yards and six touchdowns this year to lead the offense while newly acquired DeMarco Murray has just 47 rushing yards on 29 carries. The Philly defense is led by Walter Thurmond III, who has 23 tackles and two interceptions.
