Seahawks vs. Rams Odds
The Seattle Seahawks look to start another run to the Super Bowl on Sunday when they hit the road to face NFC West foe, the St. Louis Rams, at 1PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Seahawks are a slight favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Rams. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 40.5 points. The home team has covered the spread in 4 straight between these two and they have hit the under in 5 of their last 6 meetings.
The Seahawks were 12-4 last season, winning the NFC Championship for the second straight year. Seattle was 10-8-1 against the spread last season while going 11-8 with the over. Pete Carroll is coming into his sixth season as head coach. Carroll is 50-30 in his five years with the team, but has had three straight seasons with at least 11 wins. Already with a dominant defense, Seattle looked to improve its offense this year by trading for tight end Jimmy Graham from the Saints. The team also agreed to a new deal with Russell Wilson. The young quarterback threw for 3,475 yards and 20 touchdowns last season while rushing for 849 yards and six more scores.
The Rams were just 6-10 last season, finishing fourth in the NFC West. St. Louis was 7-9 against the spread while splitting the over/under total in 16 contests. Jeff Fisher is coming into his fourth season as coach of St. Louis. He is 20-27-1 in his three years and looking to have his first winning season. The Rams have been the victim of a tough division, but they bring a very strong defense to the table. St. Louis had 40 sacks and created 25 turnovers last year. On offense, the Rams traded often injured QB Sam Bradford to the Eagles for Nick Foles. Foles also had some injury issues last year but threw for 2,163 yards and 13 touchdowns in eight games last season.
