NFL Wild Card Playoff Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – With the playoffs now set in the NFL, here’s an early look at the Wild Card round, which kicks off on Saturday afternoon.
The Wild Card round starts on Saturday afternoon at 4:35PM ET when the Carolina Panthers host the Arizona Cardinals, who will likely have Ryan Lindley once again starting at quarterback. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Panthers are 4.5-point favorites while the total is listed at 39 points.
On Saturday night the Steelers will host division rival Baltimore at 8:15PM ET. After Pittsburgh secured the AFC North title by beating Cincinnati on Sunday night, the Steelers opened as a 3.5-point favorite and that’s where the line currently sits. The total, meanwhile, opened at 48 and has jumped to 49.5.
The first significant line movement for the Wild Card round happened in the Cincinnati-Indianapolis matchup, which will take place at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. After the Colts opened as 6-point favorites, the line dropped to 4 at most online and Vegas sports books. The total also saw a significant drop, going from 51.5 down to 46.5.
Finally, the Cowboys will host the Lions at 4:40PM ET in the final game of the Wild Card round. The Cowboys opened as 8-point home favorites and that’s where the line currently sits. The total hasn’t moved after opening at 48.5.
