Redskins vs. Colts Odds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – The Washington Redskins are in a bit of a free fall and looking to get back on track this Sunday when they take on the Indianapolis Colts at 1PM ET on FOX.
Indianapolis is 7-4 on the season, 4-2 at home and 8-3 against the spread. Washington is 3-8 overall, 1-5 on the road and 4-7 against the spread. Indianapolis has won three of its last four against Washington.
Trends show that the Redskins are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games following a cover while the Colts are 17-4 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a losing record. These two have went over the total in six of their last seven meetings.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Indianapolis is favored at home, as the Colts are getting odds of -10 points against the Redskins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 51 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Colts favored by 10.5 points. The spread held there for a few days before falling to 10. The over/under total opened at 51.5 points before falling back to 51.
The Colts are coming off a 23-3 win over the Jaguars last week. The Colts now have a two-game lead in the AFC South standings and the team is averaging 433.8 yards per game on offense while giving up 359.3 yards per game on defense. Quarterback Andrew Luck has thrown for 3,641 yards and 29 touchdowns this season to lead the team while T.Y. Hilton has caught 63 passes for 1,083 yards and four scores. The Indy defense is led by D’Qwell Jackson, who has 94 tackles with four sacks.
The Redskins are coming off a 17-13 loss to the 49ers on the road last week. The team has now dropped three straight and are not playing any better since Robert Griffin III returned from injury. The last two wins the team has had actually came with Colt McCoy at quarterback, so it makes the sense that team decided on Tuesday to bench Griffin and go with McCoy under center. The offense is averaging 365.2 yards per game while the defense is allowing 331 yards per contest. McCory has thrown for 427 yards with one touchdown in two game appearances. Alfred Morris has added 826 rushing yards with seven scores. DeSean Jackson has caught 42 passes for 858 yards and four touchdowns. The defense is being led by Ryan Kerrigan, who has 44 tackles with 8.5 sacks.
In terms of Injuries, Indianapolis center Khaled Holmes (ankle) and tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) are both questionable for the game. Washington tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) and cornerback Tracy Porter (shoulder) are also questionable.
