Cardinals vs. Seahawks Prediction

NFL Week 16 Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Predictions 12/24/16

Are the Cardinals a good underdog play this afternoon when they visit the Seahawks at 4:25PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Seahawks are 7.5-point home favorites versus the Cardinals after opening as a 7-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 44 and has been bet down to 43.

Bet NFL Week 16 Games

ARIZONA KEY TRENDS: The Cardinals are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five divisional games, are 1-6 against the number in their last seven conference games, and are 1-7 at the betting window in their last eight games overall. That said, they're 12-5 against the spread in their last 17 games in December and are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. They're 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games as well.

SEATTLE KEY TRENDS: The Seahawks are 4-0 against the spread in their last four home games, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five divisional games, and have covered in five of their last seven games overall. They're also 11-5 at the betting window in their last 16 games versus a team with a  losing record and are 19-6-1 against the spread in their last 26 games played in the month of December.

OUR PREDICTION: The road team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four games between these two teams and I think they'll be 5-0 by the end of the day. The Seahawks have been excellent, but far from dominant. They can't run the ball with any sort of consistency (unlike David Johnson and the Cardinals), and their defense lost its best playmaker when Earl Thomas went down with a season-ending knee injury. Granted, the Seahawks have everything to play for while the Cardinals are just looking to finish out their string of games before heading into the offseason without a playoff appearance, but I fully expect Bruce Arians to have his team ready to play. Arizona would like nothing more than to beat Seattle and finish its season on somewhat of a high note. Bottom line, this is way too many points to give the underdog.
